23 October 2012
Tourism Council WA welcomes the announcement of the $48.5 million Tourism Industry Regional Development Fund (TIRF) which will assist tourism businesses in WA to increase the quality and range of visitor experiences.
Businesses can apply for grants from $50,000 to $250,000 to support their investment in tourism industry related accommodation, infrastructure, experiences and facilities.
Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said “this new fund comes from strong advocacy from the tourism industry during the last Federal Budget.”
“The TIRF Program will be of great assistance to tourism operators and accommodation providers who want to improve their product” said Mr Hall.
“I look forward to seeing the results that this project will generate for the WA tourism industry and TCWA will continue to support and advise its members of future initiatives and funding opportunities” said Mr Hall.
