WA win funds to help innovate and improve tourism industry

Tourism Council WA has welcomed the announcement that $1.5 million of Federal grant funds will be spent in WA.

Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said “public and private investment in tourism products, services and experiences is critical in increasing visitor numbers to WA.”

“It is fantastic to see WA beating all other states, other than NSW in the total amount of funding received” said Mr Hall.

The TQUAL funding will assist the following tourism businesses in WA to increase the quality and range of their visitor experiences:

·         Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association

·         Bali Hai Resort

·         Balingup Heights Hilltop Forest Cottages

·         Barton Jones Wines

·         Cable Beach Caravan Park

·         City of Swan

·         Core Cider House

·         Ledge Point Holiday Caravan Park

·         Point Samson Whale Watchers Centre

·         Rottnest Island Authority

·         St Aidan Wines

·         Sienna Lodge

·         Wandjina Tours Pty Ltd

·         WAITOC Association Incorporated

87% of the successful WA grant applicants used Tourism Council WA’s grant support services to win  their grant.

“I look forward to seeing the results that these projects will generate for the WA tourism industry and TCWA will continue to support and advise its members of future initiatives and funding opportunities” said Mr Hall.
