National Park investment will boost tourism

28 May 2014

Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall has welcomed the extensive upgrades of Western Australia’s National Parks camping grounds and facilities announced by the State Government today.

“Last year WA attracted over 1.8 million holiday tourists into our National Parks across regional WA, but we can significantly increase this with new upgrades and developments” said Mr Hall.

“This Royalties for Regions investment will bring visitors, dollars and jobs back to regional tourism towns” said Mr Hall.

“These facilities will enable WA to attract new visitors without impacting on the environmental values of our precious Parks” said Mr Hall.

“National Parks and camping grounds are a great way to attract new visitors to experience WA’s magnificent regions within a budget” said Mr Hall.
