WA Tourism Awards
The Western Australian Tourism Awards, now entering their 40th year, recognise and reward excellence in the Western Australian Tourism Industry. Last year Tourism Council WA was delighted to announce that Perth Airport has become the principal sponsor of the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards for a 3 year period, from 2011-2013.
First introduced in 1972, the Awards were named in honour of the first Western Australian Minister for Tourism, and former Premier, Sir David Brand, and have continued to grow and develop with the industry, reflecting the diversity, passion and professionalism of tourism in Western Australia.
The Awards are a submission based process and aim to publicly recognise those businesses committed to excellence in the delivery of their product and/or service and making a significant contribution to the Western Australian tourism industry.
As part of the Australian Tourism Awards, winners of categories 1 -26 go on to represent WA at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
The Awards also incorporate a number of WA based categories, including the Sir David Brand Awards & Medals, the FACET Golden Guide Award, and a new Local Government Award for Tourism.
Winners, medallists and Finalists can be recognised by the following logos:
