Gold - Jac Eerbeek
Jac has spent an incredible 47 years in the tourism industry including 16 years at the Western Australian Tourism Commission, 20 years at Great Aussie Holidays and 11 years at Australia’s Golden Outback (AGO).
Jac was a genius in the tourism industry. He could work side by side with anyone in tourism from the smallest of owner operators to the biggest of corporate hotel CEOs, getting results, initiating marketing campaigns and building business relationships.
Jac single-handedly lead Australia’s Golden Outback for well over a decade and must have travelled a million miles meeting operators and building marketing alliances. Without Jac’s leadership AGO would not be nearly as well placed in the market as it is today.
Jac’s unselfishness, ‘100% can do attitude’ and his contribution to the tourism industry over many years puts him as a truly worthy recipient of the 2017 Sir David Brand Medal.
