Tourism Business Risk Seminar

- Perth

Earlier this year, changes to the Australian Privacy Act 1988 mean eligible businesses will be subject to mandatory data breach notification requirements.

Does your business understand its obligations under the Act? Is your business taking all precautions to prevent a data breach?

Hear from industry experts on how to protect your business from data breaches and learn about your obligations relating to the Privacy Act at Tourism Council WA’s new Business Risk Seminar.

This seminar will feature presentations from:

  • Kim Jones, Bailiwick Legal
  • Aimee Murphy, Gallagher (insurance)
  • James Sutherland and Ken King, Office Solutions IT

This seminar is FREE for Tourism Council WA members.

This seminar is followed by the first Network@Night function. If you would like to register both events, please visit this page and select “Network@Night AND Risk Seminar” from the drop down options. (Please note, fee applies for Network@Night).

James Sutherland began his IT career when there was no internet, Apple was unknown to the man on the street, and networks were run with Novell and Windows NT technology!

That was 30 years ago and the IT landscape has continued its dynamic growth with nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing.

As founding director at Office Solutions IT, a Perth-based Managed Service Provider (MSP), James helped transition the business from a 2 man operation in his garage in Wembley (1996) to the multistorey building they occupy today with 43 team members including 8 team members in the Philippines.
