Last night, the tourism industry gathered at the Crown Perth for the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards Gala Dinner, to recognise and reward the extraordinary tourism experiences and services that Western Australia has to offer.

The Awards showcase the best in the industry for their outstanding customer service, innovation and ongoing business excellence.

Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said “the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards highlight tourism excellence and reflect the passion and professionalism of WA tourism operators.”

“As an industry we are extremely proud of the amazing experiences that are on offer for visitors every day in Western Australia, from major events, to attractions, accommodation, and wineries & breweries” said Mr Hall.

The evening saw medallists awarded in 30 categories and culminated with the presentation of the Sir David Brand Award, presented to Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa for their outstanding achievement of demonstrating business excellence and ongoing contribution to the tourism industry in Western Australia.

“Perth Airport’s long term commitment and investment has been invaluable to the Awards program and we are delighted to have their name associated with these prestigious Awards” said Mr Hall.

Perth Airport’s General Manager, Corporate Affairs & Organisation Development, Fiona Lander, commented, “Perth Airport acknowledges how critical tourism is to our State’s economy, and we are investing significantly in transforming our facilities to improve the tourism experience in Western Australia. Together with the Tourism Council WA, we are very proud to recognise the dedication and commitment of all the entrants, finalists and winners to delivering excellence in tourism.”

The gold medallists will go on to represent Western Australia at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
