WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE HON PAUL PAPALIA CSC MLA MINISTER FOR TOURISM
I am pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2019 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards, hosted by Tourism Council Western Australia.
For almost 50 years, these awards have recognised excellence in all areas of tourism achievement across our diverse State.
This year's 32 categories again include the prestigious Sir David Brand Award for Tourism, which recognises outstanding achievement by an organisation in promoting or servicing the WA tourism industry.
Category winners in the 2019 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards will go on to represent Western Australia at the 2019 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
The exceptional achievements of our tourism businesses were recognised at this year's national awards, with a record-breaking number of medals awarded to Western Australia.
This fantastic accomplishment highlights the great work of our tourism operators who offer visitors opportunities to enjoy a range of unique and diverse experiences around the State, and make their trip one to remember.
The 2019 Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards acknowledge and celebrate the passion and commitment that goes into delivering a high-quality tourism product, and I encourage all operators who wish to share the story of their success to nominate before 27 May 2019.
HON PAUL PAPALIA CSC MLA
